I was only required to urinate, although I had to get a swallow test and stuff done too...

I am glad things are going so well for you... I had to poop before I could go home... And I had a 3 night stay because my heart wouldn't slow down, and I got a fever... You are very blessed to be able to have gone home so quickly.... You are going to do amazingly...

Going home was the best ever!! When my husband came through the door I cried. My hospital experience was horrible. And the next day I had the most wonderful shower - it was heavenly.

I am thrilled you are home and doing well. Keep us posted.

I of course am still preop, but my surgeon says I will have to pee and have a leak (as in pouch, not pee! LOL!) test done before I can go home... Nothing about #2 :)


But I am glad everything is working well... that is a good sign!

hey everybody I am feeling and doing great except for slight pain around the incisions and that is to be expected. I have to get my liquids in and can't start the actual 1 week post op diet until after I see the doctor on Monday. She wants to see me early since I was discharged early so I am just focusing on getting to the 4 cups of liquids per hour. Going great so far, no protein etc., until Monday = I am being a good patient and my husband has taken on the role of physicians assistant until further notice and he's on point about it love this man to pieces and I look forward to the life that this new journey is going to give us.

Yay Tam! I am so glad you are home and feeling better :) The first real poop can be a doozy and don't freak if it is bloody. That's normal.

Toot away! GBS is like a get out of fart jail free card :) and it makes you feel so much better!!

You are doing GREAT!!! It is so wonderful to have the support of your spouse. My hubby was (and still is) like yours. When I was able to start soft foods, it took so long to eat that my food would get cold. He went on-line (amazon.com) and found one of those baby dishes that you fill with hot water so the baby's food doesn't get cold. It has three little dividers- perfect for protein, vege and carb. I use it every evening!! It's good to be babied, isn't it? I am very proud of you-- you made sure you were informed and ready and it is paying off!! Kathy

Congrats! All I had to do was pee. After 3 days with no water that was an issue! Top dog nurse was gonna reinstall the catherter. I refused! Finally got a dribble the last morning. I was in the hospital 2 nights and most of 3 days.
