Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
Tip: I made my own broth and soups, i had a lot of tea that helped me with the gas, sip on water and walk!! This time will pass.....Good luck!
You will throw up at some point. You will feel nauseous at some point. However, you will figure it out and you will be okay.
...and it will be worth it!!
(btw, sleeping on your tummy causes more face wrinkles than sleeping on your back...so this recovery period may be good for you!!)

As for food, I mostly had Jello, tomato soup, pureed beef stew, Crystal Light, sugar-free popsicles and pudding.
It's great that you haven't felt nauseated or thrown up. For broth that tastes really yummy try Pho' broth from a vietnamese restaurant (you can get it to go without the meat, noodles or veggies). It was really settling to my stomach after surgery. Also coconut water (not coconut milk, though).
