Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. Breakfast:
Apple crisp protein bar - 20g
Snack: Milk - 8g
Lunch:
2 oz chicken salad - 15g
Snack:
pepperjack string cheese 7g
Dinner:
3 oz white moist fish - 23g protein
Total 73 g protein
I may not eat exactly this way everyday, but most days this is typically what I have. I didn't list the few bites of veggies I have, but you get the idea.
It does take a little time to work up to getting in all the protein without falling back on a shake. I happen to like my protein bars for breakfast. But don't worry if you can't get it all in yet, you'll get there. Keep up the good work!
