Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
Write, call a friend, look at before and after pics...reimnd yourself of how far you've come and don't let yourself slip into those bad habits.
When I"m upset i usually write..journal or whatever it is to get it out.
Once its out...its easier to deal with.
Thinking about you!!!
Are you on meds? Are you at risk of actually hurting yourself tonight?
My father once told me to just "keep walking" when I couldn't see the light at the end of the tunnel. He was right, I kept walking in the dark and before I knew it joy had found it's way back into my life. So much so that I barely remembered being that low. This is only a small speck of time, grieve for no more than a week and then refuse to give up any more of your life to an unworthy cause.
Sounds like you need lots of hugs and lots of giggles again..
When relationships break down it sucks.
But please be kind to yourself, you are making such a change to make life better, and in time hun I am so sure it will.
Who knows whats on the horizon?
Hopefully for you little princess, it will be healthier and much happier....
Things will get better, just try to confide in friends and scream if you want a pick me up.... Lots of us are here, if only in cyberspace....
Your never alone...
Text me if you see me online..... please :)
Love you ( lots )

Having gastric bypass and learning to work with your new tool is extraordinarily stressful all by itself. Add to that the stress caused by your breakup and it is not surprising that you would feel the way you do. You are not 'defective'. You are human. It is NOT a sign of weakness to ask for help. It takes courage and a resolve to change your life for the better. I did not do this by myself. I asked for help. And I'm glad I did.
Consider not just doing one thing, but multiple things. Seek counseling, go talk to close friend, crank up the exercise just a notch, take a break and go do something nice just for yourself - hair? nails? a mini-vacation? be kind to yourself each and every day - not with food but with all the other things that are important.
Everyone here will help in any way we can. You will get through this and it will get better.
I hear you girl. It has been an emotional roller coaster for me since my surgery. I am on medicine for bi polar disorder and depression and there are days when i just want to feel pain in order to forget the other pain. I am a cutter but happy to say i havent cut in awhile but that doesnt help sometimes.
Try to talk to someone or exercise more. I know it sounds easy but it isnt easy especially when there is something going on in your life like there is now with the relationship.
Feel free to contact me vis message if you would like to talk or text outside of this board.
