More fluids to make it soggy and slide through?

some papaya enzyme , chewable. THey always help me digest faster.

I hope you are feeling better! When that has happened to me I make myself throw up--even if nothing but fluid comes out I still feel like it helps?

Walk and take deep breaths as you are walking. Getting the muscles moving will help the food to move through. And take itty bitty small well chewed bites in the future. Meat proteins were the LAST foods for my pouch to be comfortable with. Itty bitty sips while you walk and papaya enzymes also help

I tried to make myself throw up. Multiple times... Nothing really came up and that was frustrating as well.

I still feel like something is stuck this morning, but fluids are going down, so maybe my esophagus is just irritated...

Papaya Enzyme it breaks down to food offender to allow it to pass through. It is availablle at most drugstores in the supplement section or at a healthfood store. d

I have food get stuck once in a while too. Walking always helps.

Oh Lauren I hope this all worked out for you! I can so understand how this feels and unfortunately it usually happens when we are not in our usual routine, holiday, vacation, restaurant.. it's when we are not in our normal element. For me, making myself throw up to dislodge the food is the best way. Of course if that is not working it could be what's called impaction and some manipulation of your stomach and some time can resolve it. but very painful.... I've been there. I do hope it worked out.

I'm pretty sure that this is just irritation/indigestion. I took zantac today and it helped me to feel better. Tomorrow, it's off to the pharmacy to get my nexium refilled.

Tracy, I tried to make myself throw up several times last night and it didn't help at all. Christmas may end up being very interesting....

wow i read alot of peoples post eating early or right after surgery some food that i started eating like six months after surgery i only got sick one time and is the most uncomfortable fealing i had its been almost two years after my surgery and dont want to even drink soda good luck

Caracol! (papaya enzyme in liquid form). Invaluable in this instance! Always have a tube or 2 around. Available on line or at most health food stores. Breaks down protein. Within 10 minutes you literally hear what sounds like flushing and the offending piece is gone!!!! About $2 a tube. Worth every penny!!!!!
