Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
It is totally normal to feel moody after surgery - combination of anesthesia, melting fat causing hormone changes, and losing our "go to" method of coping with uncomfortable emotions (food).
It is normal for pain to spike in the evenings. Don't be ashamed to take a pain pill at night - it can allow your body to relax and speed the healing process. If you haven't found it already, LCat has a post "What Newbies Need to Know" that is awesome.
Please feel free to ask questions. Many of us have walked the road you are traveling and are here to support you!!
