I am happy to say that I am finally addicted to something that is good for me! I started Zumba last week and fell in LOVE with it! I went Wednesday night with a friend to my first class. Liked it so much I was online looking for other classes in my area that I could attend. I found one that was on Saturday morning. I went bright and early at 8 am. More difficult class than the Wednesday one but still fun and I felt great. So the girl offers Zumba toning immediately following the regular Zumba so I felt brave and stayed for that class too! I was whipped at the end but still felt good too. I am a little sore today but it isn't too bad.

So I was speaking my friend and she has two weddings to get ready for in September and I have my one year surgeversary on 9/25. So this morning we decided we would work together to meet our goals.

So here is our workout schedule --

Monday - ME - Yoga HER - Zumba
Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday Zumba BOTH OF US
Saturday Zumba Toning - ME

I think with both of us motivating each other we should do well. In the evenings I just sit around or do little household stuff so I am ready to get off of my but and get in shape! I never understood before how people would say that exercise was addictive but it really is!!!

I have done aqua zumba and love it. I need to try the reg Zumba class at my gym but am a little leary cause the last time I tried it is when I blew my left knee out back in Feb 2012 but I also weighed 270 pounds back then too. I need to check it out at my gym after I am done doing my free premium classes I want to do till August 13. Trying to do as many of those Dynamic Classes for free cause they usually cost $40 a class and it is like a personal training session since there are only 6 or less people in the class with you and it a mix of cardio and strength training and I LOVE it.

Good for you!! I shock myself that I happily go to exercise five times a week. And I hate when I have to miss it.

I've definitely been missing my walks. I do stuff inside but it isn't the same. The blisters and bugs are keeping me in. Wii is ok though at least I'm moving. My son says I'm a beast at kyaking. ;-)

My husband loves to kayak. Never have joined him, was too big for a kayak before. Maybe next time he goes where I can rent one I will join him.

I don't own a wii but have been thinking about asking "santa" to bring me one this year. There are yoga and zumba "games" that I can use on it that I would enjoy.

I am now becoming addicted to this Dynamic training at my gym! I usually try to do it Mon, Wed and Sat to give my body a rest in between days but do aqua cardio classes on Tues and Thurs. The Dynamic training is very intense and hard and there are some exercises I do that I shock myself that I can to be honest with you. Last night the trainer had us doing inch worms and mountain climbers and a bunch of other super hard stuff. I did them. My legs were hurting this morning but I will survive. Going back Wed night for more! LOL!

I never thought I could get addicted to exercise, but yes, it can happen to the best of us - lol. I work out 7 days a week for an average of around an hour a day. That doesn't even include all the yard work, house cleaning, gardening, etc that I now do because I have so much energy. The Wii is great, especially when the weather makes outdoor activities difficult. I have found this summer that I am much more able to tolerate heat and have found myself outside walking or biking almost all summer - even in the rain. Rain used to be an excuse to not exercise or to cut my time short. Now I use it as a challenge.. Can I finish this workout BEFORE I resemble a drowned rat? The answer to that, by the way, is sometimes yes and sometimes no. LOL. It's all good!

I have found that since I have lost a considerable amount of weight I sweat a lot less than I used to. I used to sweat profusely and with very little exertion. I find that now I sweat what I would consider a normal amount. Before it was just plan gross! I do have to take a little towel with me to zumba but that ok a little sweat isn't going to hurt me!

I used to hate to sweat, too. I, also, have noticed that since losing weight the amount of sweat seems considerably less. And in a weird sort of way, I actually like to sweat now. Maybe it's because I spend so much time freezing now days - lol:)

Mysoul I hope that becomes the case for me too. I am a sweaty girl. I do like to exercise and I have always wanted to try Zumba, Kelly. I am glad to hear you like it, maybe when I get a little smaller I will give it a go.
