Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
Someone suggested in another post to tape a picture of your former self on the frig or cabinet and another suggestion was to wear a bracelet that says "Am I Hungry?".
I hope you find something that works cause you worked to hard to get here.
Our minds/and stomachs, often don't know if we are hungry or thirsty. There are many studies you can find by googling that support this. While you may not want water, consider some tea, (hot or cold, add a little s/f syrup or splenda if needed).
Also, Hood (brand) makes a milk that is low carb, and you can add these syrups to it , some ice and blend it, along with some fruit, for a nice smoothy. There is a 2% choc version that has few carbs but is well worth them for a half cup. Only 2 grams of fat too.
Lastly, I'm enjoying some crystal light for flavor. I especially miss orange juice and they make a n orange flavor that is quite good. TIP: Use half to 3/4 the amount of powder to water , if you are like me, and feel it's too strong .
Just a difference consideration for snacking.
