has anyone ever went thru this ?

I cannot seem to stop vomiting, I do it at least 3 or 4 times a day, my doctor thought it was a stomach virus, so he told me to take the anti nusea pills, but that does not seem to help, I just need to know if anyone has went thru this and if so how long does it? do it get any better ? I would like to call my doctor and tell him I am still having these problems , but I am on vacation and far from home, so I do not think that will help tocall him, any advice is helpful...thank you

I have had the stomach virsus since this past Friday. I had to stop eating Saturday and Sunday and when I tried to sip 1/2 teasspoon of chicken broth, I thought that my pouch was coming up through my throat. My doctor called in some compazine for me, and its helping some what. My surgeon has me on prisloc for the first 6 months which when I do not take it, I can tell a difference in my pouch. If you still have concerns, please call your doctor, he or she will know best.

Call your Dr. or his on-call person. It's really not normal to vomit that much and it can (not to alarm) cause some damage. Our internal system is supposed to be a one way street ;)

You know we all have had something not agree with us, swallowed a bit too fast, not chewed as well as we should have, etc. especially in the beginning but several times a day should be of concern (maybe ulcer, maybe stricture, maybe virus, maybe ?)and perhaps your Dr. can prescribe something via phone at the very least I'd make him aware. That's why they get the big bucks right?

Plus the action of vomiting can increase the risk of hernias. My niece also a post-op RNY was a puker and has had three hernia operations post-op.
