Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
I think we have to always stay diligent!! It scares me and I'm only 4ish months post op! :)
One thing my NUT said to me at one of my preop visits was that for those of us who have been obese and then lose lots of weight, we must remember we are not like other people who've always been thin(er).... That our fat cells are still there, they are just deflated, and they will forever more be screaming to us to make them fat again!
Kind of a freaky analogy, but hey, it sticks in my mind! :) Hopefully forever....
I had an on line wls friend send me a pair of size 10 thinking I'd be in them soon! Holy moly they seem soooOOoooOOooo small! I'm in 16's mostly now, have one pair of 14's... but 10's?!?!? Seems impossible! :) Good for you!!!
Just wondering, I'm going though a bit of a hard patch right now, and trying to overcome a hurdle.

Banshee101- I sent you a friend request but to answer your question..I am not counting calories or tracking. I do track water and know how many protein grams I get each day though. I can eat any kind of protein so I am lucky in that respect. I'll chat more via a message.
