My computer hates me! It keeps cutting off my messages! Ha!

So many other good things are happening right?! My hair loss has finally slowed down. I'm about 8 months out now.

About 3 weeks ago, I started losing hair too. I'm almost 4 months out from surgery. I'm trying not to let it bother me. Let's think about the joys of our weight loss, and try to forget this other stuff. The hair will grow back. I once lost 70 pounds and lost a lot of hair back then too. It grew back.

I decided... I'm going to go buy lipstick :) Help balance out the head! ha ha ha!

Have you tried Biotin? I've been taking Biotin dots under my tongue. It think they are 10,000 mg. Supposed to help. We shall see.

That is truly the part I am not looking forward to but I WILL make the best of it and find cute hats and scarfs to help!! It is so worth having a healthier life style, I can deal with the time my hair leaves. Oh well, it's all good!! :-)

Yes, I take biotin, and eat tons of protein... it just is what it is! :)

Where do you get Biotin? I think I will try adding that. My hair is almost to my butt and I really hate the thought of losing it ... will try what I can to try to save it. Any other suggestions?

I get biotin at walgreens or any place that sells vitamins. I have ordered it from amazon too. :)

From my understanding, it won't prevent hair loss... but will help make what you have healthier. Also, if you have real thick hair, it seems folks don't notice the loss quite so much. But when its thin like mine was already... well, there was not much hope! LOL!

I am almost 3 months post op and this last week I have noticed that my hair is starting to fall out at a rapid pace!!! I have really thick hair, I used to think I shed a lot before.... Well now I am really shedding!!! I love my hair and I am already looking forward to having it go back to normal. But as you said Becca it is what it is. In the long run it is just a minor symptom of our journey into being healthy and our hair too will join us down the road!!

I'm struggling to get enough protein in, and I know that's one of the things that can bite me. I read some where of something else to take with biotin. I went back to work today so it might be a bit for me to find it. Will let you know when I do. Maybe it will help.

I went from my hair being my best attribute to my hubby complaining because it was every where. I chose to go in for a chic new (short) hair do that got rave reviews from everyone. My hair is finally starting to come back in and I can't wait for it to be long and luscious again but if it never does I am still glad that I have lost the weight!!!

It's been 4 years post op for me and many ups and down.... As for hair loss there is Nothing out there to prevent that .... However, as somebody have already suggested here to take Biotin. It's going to take time for your body to start fully observe vitamins. Thus, when this time comes you will be fully prepared.
As for me, my hair fully came back !! But that's after ... Shopping for the wig, using All the shampoos for hair loss, herbs,... You name it , I used it :))))))))))))
