So I am going to keep it real with you guys, I have acquired a taste for wine and alcohol, since my gastric sleeve surgery. It isn't a problem and no I do not have to drink everyday, but I noticed since I can't eat I like to drink more now than I did before. Is this weird of has anyone else gave up food and now like to do something else. The bad thing is I know that alcohol is alot of empty calories that I can do without. But I do like to have a glass or two per night. Thanks for listening to my confession*SMOOCHES*

Please be careful, alcohol can be very bad for us. My transfer addiction is coffee. I keep it sf and decaf.

Transfer addiction is real. Can be alcohol, drugs, shopping and anything else. I think it is just another of those head issues we need to tackle. Our work is never done! Lol

Hi Chocolate - You already took the first step by being concerned about it. That's a really good sign. That means you want to do something about it. There are a lot of support groups out there. I speak from experience as one of my loved ones has gone through rehab twice for alcohol. If you let it get a hold of you it's a hard habit to break. Plus there is the social aspect of it. The friends, the parties, the evenings out can be difficult - but you can do this. Look at what you've done so far with your food addiction. You can conquer this too.

First let me say I like your pic. You look amazing!

I want to repeat what's already been said. Be careful. Drinking every night could become a problem. Also drinking while eating will empty your tummy before it's had a chance to digest your food so that nutrients can be absorbed. And you said wine is a lot of empty calories.

I really love you guys and want to say thank you for your kind words and support. I got rid of the food addiction and refuse to pick up another one. So starting tomorrow I will stay focus and be back on track 110%.
