Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
Sorry you are so hungry. Those liquids can be tough. Sugar-free jello and popsicles were included on my liquid list. That feels a little more like real food. I know not nearly the same, but might could help a bit.
Just pretend your on a food holiday...
What you are doinng now is short term and will make things much much easier come surgery...
I missed crunching things and ended up with an abcess for not chewing.
Sugar free gum was my solution... gave me a chance to chew, that took away some of the cravings.
We were allowed 3 sticks a day.
All the best to you, just stay focused, one hurdle at a time... your nt so far from the pre op finish line..
Were routing and a tooting for you.
Love and best wishes..

Hang in there!!!
I started this horrible thing Sunday and I wished a pox on my surgeon yesterday afternoon! LOL
I have to say that I do feel much better today. In a weird, twisted way, it feels a little liberating...at least until I get home this afternoon, which is always my grazing time.
I made a double batch of cherry protein ice cream yesterday evening so I would have something to snack on. btw, it tastes incredible - even my 12 yr old son said it was good which means I had to warn him not to eat it.
