Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.

All I did was make sure I had to much to do before so I couldnt think about it.
Your gonna rock this...I'll warm up your seat :)
My daughter woke up at 4:30AM today (she's 3, so it's hard to get her back to sleep once she's up) for some reason and since I was (still/already) awake, I got up with her and got going for the day. Once I got going and into my routine, it took my mind off the negativity I had worked up inside myself overnight. Every now and then I'll think of something or realize there will be some things I can't do for a while after surgery - it kinda flicks on and then back off again in my brain - and that makes me nervous again, but then I get distracted again and everything is alright.
So I guess what I'm getting at, is that I'm finding it best to stay busy so my mind is distracted from the negative/nervous thinking as much as possible. Hope you find a way to ease your mind - and if the anxiety gets to "panic attack mode" or even close to that, there's nothing wrong with asking your doctor for a script of a low-dose anti-anxiety med - just a side note! :)
GOOD LUCK and keep up posted - ((HUGS))
