The sugar-free jam is a condiment, so I would just count the calories in your daily total. Glad you are doing well, isn't it GREAT?!
Also there's no sugar free jams/jellys. Fruit has sugar, so the label will always have sugar listed. You may be able to find no sugar added.
yes, the jam IS sugar free!
Just may have some of that tomm morning on a 1/2 piece of whole wheat toast!
I'm limiting my carbs big time, so once in a great while, i'll have 1/2 piece of toast, plain with a poached egg.
THank you for your comments..
Ruby...I don't ever "count" sf jello, that according to what my NUT said, is a liquid, in between meals.
I wasn't told to count calories either. Just focus on protein and liquids, but that's why my bariatric office told me, so I'm sure there are others that count.
Maybe it's because I'm still on my 2nd stage of soft foods..i don't know, I see the Dr on the 23rd, so i'll know more what my last stage will be.

I think i'll wait until I see the Dr and NUT on 1/23/14, and THEN ask them if I can have it!
I can wait another few weeks for it!!

Shelly is right.although there is no white "sugar" in fruit, fruit = carbs and therefore your body metabolizes it the same way it does sugar.
When you feed your body carbs, it will burn carbs for fuel. When you don't feed it carbs, it will burn your fat for fuelisn't that what you want??
