Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
I have no doubt you will face this demon monster again, as will I, but I think with the support of good people you can get through these hard times easier.
Keep positive thoughts always!

Thank you for your sense of humor!
WOW! ME TOO!!!!
I don't even have my surgery date, but I've been munching on stuff I shouldn't be, and doing a few fast food trips.
Yesterday, my GBS asked me if I had lost anymore weight. I said I don't know, because I had the local Visiting Nurse program, and I was weighing in on the scale they provided to me, and they stopped monitoring me, because my congestive heart failure was gone.
I was being accountable for my weight loss, but since I don't have my own scale, I haven't known what my weight is!!!
Guess what? I'm going to Walmart today, to get a scale. I don't want to screw up, my pre-op weight loss.
I lost 42 pounds in the last year, and kept it off!!! And, already reached my 5% required, since this past January!
Thanks for your honesty, and humor. You're not alone chicky!!!
Hugs,
Betsy
