Hi All. I was just wondering what everyone was eating at 5 weeks post op Gastric bypass?

There are a lot of different programs out there. My surgeon's plan didn't have the liquid, pureed, soft stages. I was on clear liquids the first week and then was cleared to eat low fat cottage cheese, beans, tofu, eggs, chicken, turkey, fish, shrimp, lobster (anything that walked on 2 legs or swam). I ate a lot of chicken salad, egg salad, tuna salad, and cottage cheese. When I ate out, I had shrimp, lobster, or chicken (chicken has to be very moist and chewed thoroughly!!

Hi - seems like everyone's plans advance at different rates. I was just finishing up the pureed stage (refried beans, cottage cheese, ricotta cheese, applesauce and moving on to soft foods like scrambled egg (can't handle them even now at 3 months), canned tuna with a tiny bit of mayo, canned chicken on the refried beans, cheese sticks, egg salad, etc.
