Week two post-op and ate my first bit of egg today. Only a few bites, like 4, of a flat, omelet-like cooked egg with a tiny sprinkle of cheese and a bit of diced baby tomatoes.
But here it is 3 hours later and I still feel the lump and slight pain in my stomach and back.
I am trying to drink some fluids to flush it. Any other ideas? Or is it just a waiting game?

Eggs are really tough. Took me three months before I could handle scrambled and 6 before over-easy.

Two weeks out is a little early for tomatoes too. The skin on them is tough to process.

My program says no lumps or bumps for 4 wks. Might just have been a little soon. Hope your feeling better shortly! My guess is it was probably the tomatoes.

I'm at 5 weeks and can't have tomatoes yet. Maybe give your surgeon a call.

Eggs & tomatoes were pretty tough when I had the Lap Band. Neither of them break down easily and the tomato skin doesn't break down at all. I would smash my cooked eggs with the back of my fork to get them into the smallest state that I could and then I chewed them until they were mush. I gave up tomatoes for the entire time I had the Lap Band. I never was able to eat them without "seeing them again" (vomiting).

Many people have a problem with eggs. If the stuck feeling doesn't go away, then call your doctor. This is a great reason for keeping a journal. If a food bothers you put it in the "try again in the future list." When you do try it again, go real low and make sure you cann tolerate it. Lettuce did this same thing to me and 3 months latter when I tried it again, it went well.

Yes, after about 6 - 7 hours, it subsided. I kept slowly drinking to wash it down. Wont' do tomatoes again for a LONG time. I can't believe I did that. Of course. But I was thinking, oh, something healthy and tasty to go with my eggs. Not, soft foods only. I was just busy making breakfast and taking care of my aged mother in law that I watch and just going thru the motions of getting something to eat for her, and I was not thinking. Got to remember, everything is totally different. I guess since I have been feeling so good, I just didn't have that as a reminder. "What a maroon!", to quote Bugs Bunny.

I don't have any advise, but I still don't eat eggs. For some odd reason eggs do not set well with me. I haven't found anything else that doesn't agree so far.

For me, even the smell of eggs cooking makes me want to hurl...=(

Don't beat yourself up. We've all made our mistakes. With this surgery we get to learn the hard way!!

Eggs don't work for me. Mom says they are hard to digest. I dono what the deal is cept I had to pretty much give them up. I had a bioled one on a chef salad that did ok.
I'd ask the NUT about it.
