Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.

Side note - Please don't get discouraged/frustrated if your weight loss actually slows as you begin liftingyou will probably increase the rate you lose fat but you will be adding weight by building muscle. I lost a lot of muscle during my year of weight loss.as a woman, I was okay with thatI don't need as much muscle to move through the world as a 125 lb woman as I did to move around at 300 lbs ..and I still have a higher percentage of muscle than the average woman.
- anyway, just something most people don't think about. Enjoy the burn!!
Totally worth it!!
