Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
I found that cold water made me ill for quite some time and drank my water room temp.
Sorry you have to go thru this. I was 59 when I had my RNY and am 62 now, have never regretted it. I still get sick on certain things.
I know that if you get dehydrated, nausea is a byproduct of that, especially if it gets severe. Also, watch for jaundice. Dehydration can cause issues with your liver and that can then cause nausea too. It's a vicious circle. If it gets too bad, head to the emergency room, OK?
Try your water at different temperatures. I drank mine warm for the first year. I also don't like tea - but I actually enjoy the Swedish Berries tea from Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf.
