You're not a failure. You're struggling and you will get past this. If I were you I would continue to hound the doctor and nutritionist. That's what you're paying them for. There has to be an answer and it's their job to help you find it.

I saw that you spoke with your doctors...I would just keep calling them if things do not change. Meat was very scary for me to try, so my NUT recommended at first only eating meat that has been cooked in the slow cooker so that it is super soft and moist. To be honest, I haven't tried meat cooked any other way because I'm scared it will be too tough for me. I have discovered that chicken in the slow cooker, cut up so small it is almost "mashed" is one of the easiest for me to tolerate.
I'm sorry that you are having such a rough time, I will be praying for you that God just comes and wraps Himself around your heart! I do have acid reflux (and did before surgery) and that pain can be very bad. I use the Gasx strips (that dissolve in your mouth) and try to sleep with my head elevated. I would ask...where is the pain? Is it in your chest, your stomach or your digestive system? So far my stomach hasn't hurt, but when the acid reflux kicks in it hurts my digestive system and my chest. For me, the Gas-x strips help a lot.

I am so sorry that you are feeling bad. I have not had surgery yet, and you are not discouraging me...so don't worry.

As the others have said, please keep after your doctors. You have a right to know what is going on with your body.

I just prayed for you, and I know Jesus is holding you close.

You A FAILURE? Is this a comedy forum? lol... You are the furthest thing from it...You have gone thru so much to get so far.... I agree.. keep hounding your doctor and make him listen if things don't get significantly better for you soon... trust me.... I will should I have any problems....

You know I acually feel like this, my weight is coming off so slow, but I did notice today I fit into a size 18 jeans, I only dropped 1 size since surgery, but at least I know I am making a little progress. I had surgery on Feb. 6th I have lost 28lbs total. I drink my water, protein watch my sugars and workout like crazy, its really discouraging to see on this site people that have lost 50-75 lbs already so far and they had surgery the same time I did. So I know that you have heard it before but you have to hang in there...Best Wishes Tara

You are not a failure, your just going through a ruff patch. I hope your doctor offered you something to help with the vomiting. I'm guessing that you are feeling like you have no energy due to the vomiting. Please make sure your getting enough fluids, we dehydrate very quickly and that will also contribute to the lack of energy. Try to remember also that you can't always go just by the scale, even when it's not moving your measurements do. Take them if you haven't yet and watch those too, it was the only thing that saved my sanity during the stalls in the scale. Hope your feeling better soon.

You are not a failure by any means. You just don't feel well and that can do all kinds of bad to your head. I do want to urge you if your doctor does not get to the bottom of this soon please look into other surgeons in this area near you. I have to tell you the bigest mistake I made was leting my original surgeons blow me off for 2 yrs. I am much better but still having something going on which my new doc is working on with me.

This is where you should bring your joys and your struggles. I havent been kicked out yet lol. This is a hard thing to do good or bad we do all need support and we need to know the outcomes as well. Honey with all my complications I have had and the bad doctors I had I still can not tell you that this was a good decision yet.

Reading all your comments truly brought tears to my eyes. Just when i am ready to throw in the towel something you say inspires me to keep trying and hold on at all cost. I am frustrated and yes I am calling them again tomorrow. My anguish is enough but my husband is also feeling helpless and that I can't stomach. I am trying my best to level out because he also needs surgery. He has degenerative joint disease in the hips and knees and can barely walk with out holding on so while I am trying to recover it's killing me to watch his ability to walk deteroiate daily. It's just entirely too much going on at one time and i am feeling helpless to help myself and more so being unable to be totally supportive of my husband who needs me and has always been my rock. If I am not crying in my pillow for myself - then I am crying for him. We go to his doctor on Thursday to see if they will give him a shot in the hip for the pain and start the process for his surgery by July so please keep us both in prayer and that somehow our strength holds up during this very stressful time in our lives. I haven't posted much, but wanted to wish you well and let u know ur in my daily prayers as everyone on the site is. I wuld bet everyone that has had surgery has had same feelings of "omg, what did I do, rewind, I made a mistake" however,most also say they wouldn't change it for anything.i hold to that every time I feel negative. No matter how much we think we prepared preop and had a plan, this is tough as h-e-double hockey stixs and couldn't have known till we are here. Everyday gets a little easier and just think in 1 yr we'll be the ones giving the it's so worth it speech to new ones!!! Good luck and god blew ur family!!

Thanks tripodmaster you are soooooo right i never would have thought going in that I would have buyers remorse after reading so many people saying they did after surgery - I was so convinced that i would never question my decision, yeah right. Wake up call for me, I am not exempt from going through and I sooooooooooo respect on such a higher level everyone who survived where I find myself right now. I know a God that can do all things but fail and because He holds all of my tomorrows, I know I won't either. Now that is not to say that I won't have more days like this, but as long as my faith remains where it is at - I trust that next year this time I will be shouting how I survived the worst to enjoy the best of what this surgery has to offer. First of all you are not a failure....... I am a nurse and I would say to you cont. to talk to your Doctor and try to come up with solutions and or reasons why this is going on. Not knowing everything going on with you It is hard to say what is exactly wrong if anything. Sometimes it just takes time and like I have said everybody is different in how they heal,tolerates things and etc. The added stress in your life with your husband can play a part as well. It can be physical or psychological as well but you need to rule out anything physical first. Talk to ur doc. and nut. constantly if so be and look for different things to do that has helped other people with this problem. DO NOT GIVE UP... You are strong. Pray and Pray and I will also.
