My legs are starting to get that look. So far it hasn't bothered me. And I have the big bat wing arms too! But I figure at least all that skin is no longer filled with fat!

What a strong lady. I am very impressed by her.

I try not to concern myself with what my skin will look like. I have so much other stuff to get through first. When the time comes, I will deal with that next step.

Getting some loose skin but I don't care. Loose skin beats the heck outa skin filled with fat!
Been trying to build up some muscle to fill some of it. Don't know yet if it is gonna work. At my age I doubt muscle will grow much.

I think (hope) I will feel the same way!


But sarge, DO NOT sell yourself short on muscle development... I don't think there is an expiration date on them as long as the rest of us is still kickin :) :)

Wow....she is so brave to do that. I know it gave a warning before you look. It was too much for me. I am still pre-op and I can't deal with that fact right now. I know it is something that will happen but I'm just trying to get through the hurdle of getting the surgery. My goal is to loose this weight and if that happens then I will deal with it then.

Deedra was so courageous. What a beautiful young lady! The thought of having excess skin does bother me a bit although like Sarge, Kelly and Becca, I am hoping I don't care if it comes to that. If it does bother me, I will certainly look into surgery. I am determined to grow old gracefully but I am not sure what that exactly means to me except to be healthy and more active.

Purple, I hear you. Pre-op, I saw some pics of the excess skin and honestly, it gave me pause. I just decided I could not let that possibility hold me back. As Deedra says, thank heavens for clothes! I doubt I'll have surgery since my priority in the next 10 years is putting my kids through college.

I'm now at the halfway point of weight loss and I feel good, I look good and other than my arms, the excess skin is not bad. Sometimes I think maybe I should just quit here. I want to date. I want to be attractive to men. But I reject that thought as well. I'll deal with it as it comes.

Thank you Becca...and everyone for the kind words. Not everyone has the amount of extra skin that I have. I truly believe that I have this issue because there's still a part of me that struggles seeing me how God sees me and He wants to heal me completely...to rid me of the vanity issue and accept that I am fearfully and wonderfully made!

Don't be discouraged by my skin. The health benefits far outweigh the skin issues!
