I completely understand! I also had a c-section with my son. The pain post RNY was not as bad as c-section pain.... In my opinion. We all could drop dead at any time and at any weight. Don't listen to others trying to scare you. Do this for YOU!

I think a lot of people know about the surgery from TV shows which sensationalize the risk to get ratings. Yes, it is major, but if you have a good surgeon, than the risk is much lower. My family was saying the negative stuff too, but I think it is out of concern and their own fears. You have to do the right thing for you!! You can do it and if you already had 3 c-sections ... well you know the drill. Ask your questions, do not be afraid to call the Dr.'s office if needed after surgery, and stick to the diet plan so that you heal well. Drink your fluids the best you can after the surgery and get rest. Everything will fall into place. Here is to a speedy recovery and uneventful surgery. Best to you!!

@ Keikothea u know i am with you in spirit! @ Joy I know the c-section pain was horrible! OMG i couldn't even cough! If I can make it through 3 of them I think I can survive this! LOL. @ LuckyP I agree with you. A lot of people only know what they see on TV. I am doing what's best for me with no hesitation!

Great attitude! I wasn't nervous at all. My husband and mom were a wreck! LOL I had complete faith in my surgeon and knew that she would do everything possible to make my surgery a success. I had zero complications, was off pain meds 3 days after being home, and was up and walking the same day. I'm going to be 9 weeks out tomorrow and have lost 44 lbs. Good luck to you. Can't wait to hear all about how you are doing. You are going to do great!! :)

CONGRATS!! You are such a strong woman and you will do just fine with this. Don't let those negative people affect you. Stick to your support group and the positiveness that they provide. My surgery is June 7th so I am right behind you. Good luck!!!

It's ok to be nervous. It's a big life change. Tomorrow after the surgery you will be waking up to a whole new life. It's so exciting!!! Saying prayers for quick recovery!!!

Congrats on the surg date. As for being nervous i think i would worry if you weren't. Its a natural state of us humans.
