I am so glad I had RNY!! 8 weeks post surgery and I am eating regular food (slowly adding in raw vegetables) and feeling great. I started at 240 and weighed in at 207 this morning. I am glad to say I haven't fixated on the scale -- I trust that if I follow my plan, it will move, maybe slowly but this is the first time in many years that I have followed a plan and seen continued success. It is incredible to know I will be under 200 lbs in the near future.

I am wearing size 16 slacks and my co-worker just said "You look little today." None of my jeans fit so I went to Walmart and got a pull on pair of JMS and three pairs of Hanes sweat pants that really look nice and I can wear shopping etc. The sweat pants are $6.00 a pair so very affordable as my size decreases. We are going to CT to see family this weekend (haven't been there since October) and I am excited because they will be so happy for me.

If anyone is questioning the benefits of RNY - I can list a zillion!! Have a great week.

Yay for you! And don't worry about the scale - you and I are amost identical in our rate of weight loss, yet the sizes are falling off.

I'm not allowed raw veggies on my program until 3 months - but you give me hope that I might be able to try them a little sooner!

Yes Kathy!! So happy for you! I am SOLIDLY excited about my day, coming right around the corner, 2 1/2 weeks!! EEEK!!! Can't wait to join you on the loser's bench!
