Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
Congrats and keep up the good work.

It's probably been 30 years since I have been in a sizr 14..probably since I was 10 or eleven years old. I can't even remember it's been so long ago. I remember getting down into a size 20 for about six months after I lost my baby, simply out of sever depression, but then, well we all knows what happens after that...three years later is when I had thr stroke, then blew up like a hot air ballon and topped out at 409...but as of yesterday my pre-op weight loss, is 105 pounds and I am going into liquids starting a week from today. I don't wait around, and today has been a testing day. Yep, I have wanted to eat so bad, but have resisted...my last protein shake is in the freezer now, chilling down to get slushy and I am on my way now to get it. Come on September 15!!!
Congrats again HOPE>>>SIZE 12...man I can only dream of such!!!
Congrats on the weight loss and the size 14!
I started my journey 18 months ago and I said I'd be happy at a 10 or a 12. I never dreamed I would go into single digits. I was a 16 when I graduated from HS and a 12-14 when I graduated from college with massive dieting and working out my senior year b/c my sister told me she would buy my graduation dress but only if it was a size 10, she wouldn't get me anything bigger. That same sister is a size 10-12, so that's what I figured I would be.
I am now a size 6!! I am smaller than when I was in Junior High! I think the last time I was a 6 I was 6 (and that was a 6X husky girls).
There is hope (pun intended) out there for all of you waiting for surgery or who just had surgery!
Thanks for sharing!

That was such an encouraging post. I enjoy reading your responses and words of support that you share on this site. I am only 11 1/2 weeks and you give me something to look forward too. I am not a fast loser but it is steady and that's fine with me. I feel pretty good and try to do cardio like walking on a treadmill 3 times a week. After I read some of your posts I don't feel alone at all. Thanks again, Jena
