I had gastric bypass 6 years ago this month. 2 weeks prior to my surgery I had my yearly gyn check up and blood work. I had not started menopause at all at this point. I had my surgery in March and my last period the next month in April. By the following March (one year after surgery)I was getting nervous because I hadn't had any periods since April. I went for my yearly gyn check up and the dr asked if I had had any menopause symptoms; hot flashes, mood swings, spotting etc. I had nothing. I had actually been freezing for the past year due to my weight loss. I had blood work done and the dr. called....I wasn't pre-menopause, or in menopause. I was completely done and thru menopause. I never had a clue. I guess in hind sight I was very lucky considering what other women go through but it was pretty shocking to find it out. The doctor said due to the major changes in my hormones from the weight loss, it started and completed my menopause. Hope this helps.

I did not experience this but it sounds like you need to address this with your dr. Too many people do not see their dr soon enough and regret it later. My primary dr tests my blood every 3 months to stay on top of my nutritional needs. Dizziness and blood pressure are things you need to stay on top of. You said you were in your "4th month 4/2/15 since gastric bypass" but it isn't even April yet.

I think it is hormones brought on my weight loss and menopause symptoms started. 4 months 4/2/2015 coming up. NSV from size 20 pants to size 12 a little tight but something to work on....
70 pounds total to date. Thank you God I am diabetes free!
