I had my RNY in February and just finished my second hospital stay due to dehydration. This time I ended up in the hospital for two weeks and going home being fed by a PIC line in my arm. Take my word for it, it wasn't fun and certainly not worth it. I missed three weeks of work this time and can't wait to get back on track with my diet.
What ever it takes I will get those 64 ounces of fluid in each and every day. Don't forget the protein as well.....

I got a small, 8 oz. water bottle and kept it in my hand nearly all the time when I left my home or my desk. It's easy to keep sipping, and water fountains are everywhere to re-fill it.
At home and at work, I have my 16 oz. thermal tumblers next to my chair, reminding me to sip, sip, sip. 4 1/2 years out and I still need to remember to drink enough water on the weekends when I'm busy.
