Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.

Ever try to stand against a wall while waiting in line!? This was a regular practice before surgery, if I was in a long line for something! When we went to vote last month, the line snaked all the way around the gym, of the school we use as our precinct. I was against the wall for most of the trip around the gym, by the time I got out of there, it felt like someone had been playing xylophone on my spine with a rock!
Yea, my butt hurts, but there are other parts too...I need bubblewrap!
God Bless!

I still have the sore tail bone problem, depending on the chair, but I try to remember to sit on my "sits bones" - those two spots at the bottom of the pelvis - and it really helps. If you sit down and roll your hips forwards and backwards you can feel your body roll onto those sits bones and off your tail bone as you sit up taller in your seat. Sure feels strange at first, but it does take that pressure off the sore spot.
But, then again, I haven't had my surgery yet so I still crave those sugary little buggers.
I have to say, signing up for this group was the best idea. I am learning so much about the whole GBS process and what to expect. I am really grateful to everyone willing to share their experiences.
It feels weird to say this but, I look forward to the day my butt aches from the lack of cushioning!
Thanks, All!
