Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
I haven't passed actual gas in a while but I've never been as happy as I was when I had my first real, non-gross BM.
Akgirl, I'm with you--I don't want to miss a single thing! This process of becoming a whole new healthy me is so exciting that every gurgle, burp and hiccup is so worth it.
I had surgery August 2015. The surgeon recommended that we take a good probiotic daily to help with the smell of gas. He said, "Your family will love you for taking it!" The only time I have gas is when I eat a dairy product. However, I do belch a lot. Well, everyone passes gas daily, so says Dr. Oz. :)
(and now I'm looking at my coffee maker and the stack of K-cups next to it and giggling like crazy)
