Doing A Happy Dance

I was just talking to myself on the way to my first post op appointment this morning... my husband was eating a breakfast from McDonalds in the seat next to me... OMG... LOL... but I just kept telling myself... the world is going to go on... and you just have to remember what all the losing weight is doing and will do for you... You are doing this for you so we're gonna keep on keeping on...
I'm kind of excited with what I'm sharing today... I had my surgery October 19th, 2012. I'm feeling pretty good all things considered. Gastric Bypass Surgery isn't fun... but the euphoria I feel today well... that's putting a bit of a smile on my face... I'm down 16 pounds... a wee bit over 1 pound a day... It won't continue at that pace... but it will be steady because I have every intention of working to make it happen. I feel better physically and emotionally.

Nice job and cngratulations! I'm glad you're doing well.

I had to remind my husband of unacceptable foods around me when he brouhgt home "five guys" burgers for him and our kids, and that they are not to be eaten around me. H erealized his mistake and is now conscoious of things like this. Maybe your husband needs a little reminder of the same.

My husband and grandson eat all kinds of things in front of me. I no longer want or need the kinds of stuff they eat.

I insisted my hubby and kids be themselves, I am the one with the weight problem and not them, I thought it would be unfair to ask them to go somewhere else with thier choice of food. frankly, it does not bother me like I thought it would...I actually can crack a joke about it...clogged arteries and MADD COW FLAPPING AROUND ON THE GROUND, (when they eat a burger) sick humor? probably...LOL...I think I will end up vegitarian since I have been unable to digest meat...and at the cost of it..thats fine with me..
