I made cookies for my hubby today and altered the recipe a little. What do y'all think? I've had one, but they are calling my name. I have told him to hide them from me!

1 3/4 c almond flour
1/4 c coconut flour
2 c rolled oats
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 sticks butter softened
1 c peanut butter
1 c firmly packed brown sugar
1 c Splenda
2 eggs
3 tsp vanilla
1/4 c semi sweet chocolate chips chopped
1/2 c chopped walnuts
1/4 c dried blueberries
1/8 c dried cherries chopped

This made 36 good sized cookies. I haven't put it into a recipe calculator yet. Just wondering what y'all think - would you eat them?

I avoid anything that will cause me to overeat! If they are calling your name will you be able to stop eating once you begin? Why play with something that is already "Calling your name?"

I was thinking about the temptation after I posted this. Sugar still scares me. I ate 1/2 each at 2 different times. No problems, but I don't want to tempt fate and dumping so no more temptation! Mind games are the worst!!

If you use an app, such as LoseIt to track your foods, you can enter the recipe and the number of servings (i.e., how many cookies it made) and they the app will show you the calories, protein, carbs, and fat grams. You can then make an informed decision on whether it is good for you. :)

I might have one but otherwise no I wouldn't want them in my house. Too tempting and I just don't want to do that to myself. I don't bake any more. In fact while cleaning out my kitchen cabinets and drawers this last week I put a lot of stuff I never use any more out to go to the garage sale at my girlfriends house. Baking stuff included. Fortunately my husband doesn't eat baked goods anyway and does not expect me to provide them. He fends for himself when it comes to junk food.

They sound like a good tasting, lower carb, cookie recipe, but I wouldn't want them in my home either. They still have enough carbs to mess with loss or maintenance.
I love to bake, but I limit it to occasions when I can take my creations to work, my volunteer groups, or my family gatherings. That way I can have my cake, but not HAVE to eat it too.
Maybe you have a local group you can bake for?

Before I had my surgery, I decided I don't "do" sugar anymore. So, for me, these are a no-go.
