Hello everyone, it's been awhile since I have posted.
Well, as with GBP surgery, they suggest you get counseling/therapy.
I did, and this allowed me to ask my husband of 23 years for a better marriage.
He reluctantly agreed to counseling which I have begged him to do for 7 years. Then two GBP girlfriends and I went to Florida for a week to celebrate our weight loss.
Came home to an empty house. He chose to lie about agreeing to go to therapy, and he filed for a divorce.
Now I have been in an intense 10 week program called Renew and Rebuild in which you explore how sick your marriage was, and how to never repeat it.
Sick Marriage is a symptom of weight gain.
We forget to ask for what we need in a Marriage.
Then when it gets sick we stick it out for Religious reasons, Family reasons and we lose ourselves. In Gastric Bypass I found myself again.
And now that I am single, I am Healthy, Whole, Slim, and reclaiming my freedom.
Please do yourself a favor, keep track of your needs, and don't be afraid to ask for exactly what you need. It's such a gift.
I am looking forward to the rest of my life. With Joy. Down 141 Pounds only 9 to go. From 4X and size 20 pants to Med size 4 pants.
Dating again, and enjoying every minute of it!!!!!!

I had a counselor tell me once I was stuffing my emotions of my relationship with food... So my hubby and I have been working on that. He said he even likes me better when I speak my mind! So, hopefully we will be ok.... but I do think about it... How our relationship could change... and how we will have to be forever vigilant!
