I am so sorry, I have been there and I will tell you what my wonderful husband of 36 years told me when I was laid off after 20 years with AT&T..."Just remember, you did nothing wrong for this to happen, it is not your fault, IT IS THEIR LOSS, and most important (as you have already said) God will take care of us". You know what, I had to take a cut in pay, but God did lead me and I ended up with a job 20 minutes from home (I used to have a 75 minute commute each way), at a state university, I LOVE my work, and now my daughter has an almost free education, which more than makes up for the cut in pay! I'll be praying for you to find what God wants you to be doing in the next phase of your life. Chin up, he has never closed a door in my life without opening a better (usually very different, but better) door for me. HUGS...Kim

You know I do believe that one door opens saying... when crummy things have happened to me I wondered why at the time but a year later I thought "ahhh that's why that had to happen" I hope you will be at peace with it soon and $$ all is well. Do not neglect your protein & vits. This is too important :)

I am so sorry! Prayers for doors to fly open around you. Remember what Eggface said, remember your vits and protein. Even though I am a newbie I have discovered how easy it is to sink into depression when you don't get everything in. It really does affect our mindset.

I'm so sorry, in this economy that really sucks. Try to keep taking care of yourself.

I am so sorry... I can't tell you I know how this feels, but I will share with you that I worked for 5 years to get my Master's Degree... I graduated with that degree December 2000 and fell in July of 2001 and have been disabled every since.... I was diagnosed with MS, and have had 7 spine surgeries....
My life has become a series of helping other people.... I started quilting, volunteering at my church, and I am truly hoping that one day I will be able to work part time again...
I look at that degree hanging on the wall and at times get very sad... But it is an accomplishment that no one can take from me...
I believe God works in very funny ways... But I also believe he takes care of us... And I believe HE has something better in store for you...
Hang in there... You inspire me... I love your smile... And something will turn up....

I'm not going to say "I'm sorry".... I'm not! Just cause this will turn out to be an awesome opportunity!!

I pray that you will someday see this as a blessing. We put so much emphasis on our work identity that when we don't have a job to go to each day, it does a number on us emotionally. You will get through this...one day at a time...sometimes one hour at a time. Take some time to grieve your loss but also rejoice in the fact that you have some free time now to continue to prepare for your surgery. Good luck to you - keep your chin up!

been where you are so often with my husband... he unfortunately doesn't last long on most jobs... but the amazing thing has always been we've always made it... one way or another... God has ALWAYS provided... and in the end its ended up better for us... Your weight loss journey has just taken on a secondary journey.... your determination and faith will see you thru .. take care :)

Well, here I am chiming in late, but I wanted to tell you I have appreciated your positive attitude since you came to the group, and I think anyone with your grit, determination, and fun/sass will be a great asset wherever you end up. I will join the others in prayers for the right door or window to open for you and let you move on to a new place where you can SHINE!

I read your post yesterday and didn't think I had anything to add. Maybe I stll don't. But, you are in my prayers...so, how much more are you in our Father's thoughts?

You are not alone. People here and in your immediate life care about you. And you have a Heavenly Father who always has you in mind!

I hope your troubles pass quickly, you find a new job that you didn't even know you were waiting for and until then, that you have peace.

Hi Baby I don't have much energy right now but i had to sit up long enough to say that sometimes things happen and all we can do is question why? It is habitual and a hard habit to break, but sometimes God sets us up for bigger and better things by moving us out the way of things that could potentially cause us harm. I know that sounds crazy because how can paying your bills/rent harm you. I don't know but I need you to keep looking to the heavens and put on the whole armor of God which means you have to trust him like never before to see you through. This is Not the time to loose faith or fall into that sea of depression. If the tables were turned you would not let any of us get away with that - so far be it for me to lend a hand in helping you stay there. I would say put on your big girl panties and stay focused, but I forgot - we don't wear the big girl panties no more, so that being said stay positive - know we love you and you are not in this alone. My heart to yours, I'm praying you through.
