I'm on day 4 of my liquid diet and I'm doing great. Because I'm preop, I can slam my shakes down, but I have been slowing down considerably since I found out that your body can only really absorb 10 g of protein an hour. So I am now taking my two 30 g shakes and sipping every 15 mins to 30 mins, and only consuming 10 grams of protein an hour when I'm drinking my shakes and it's keeping me quite full.
I can still have yogurt, so I'm eating the plain Fage greek yogurt, no sugars, and 23 g of protein per cup, again eating this over a slow period of time. I've been mixing in a very small amount of my crystal lite, or my other drink mixes that have stevia as it's sweetener, like my nut suggested, and it's wonderful. Lemonade in yogurt, yum, and then orange in yogurt kind of tastes like a dream-sicle, again yum!!! Again, I'm eating and drinking all day long and all this protein is keeping me full. Only once in a while do I get a craving for sf pudding or sf jello.
So I have 7 more days of this and then surgery, Yea!!! I find that anytime I'm using my cell, when I get done, before I close my phone, I always check my calendar on my phone and I can see the circled date for today and how it's creeping so ever closer to surgery day! At this stage, I'm almost compulsive about looking at my calendar, lol.
If I'm doing something wrong or if you have any suggestions, I'm all ears!!!

Sounds like you are doing fine! This was the toughest part for me becasue it was all will power! But when it is over it is worth all the effort!

The pre op liquid diet is very individual I am having mine done the same day as Phoenix and I do not have to do it I have just the day before surgery that I am needing to do the liquid diet all depends on the Surgeon you waist measurements and if you have a fatty liver.
