They are very low in total carbs and sugar, and they're delicious!
They are recommended by my surgeon and nutritionist.
I understand you are trying to give healthier options, but also consider that mental health is equally important and sometimes a whole grain cracker fits the bill.
Congrats on your success so far and for having your head in the right place :0)
They were for me so I am very careful. I keep a food log and when I notice the portions increasing I reduce.
I do try and avoid the carbs that have nothing in them for me or the ones with lots of fat.
Good luck on your decision. You will do what's right for you. :)
You said, I want to eat them (crackers) so bad I would encourage you to figure out why. We have to figure out why we eat or we wont be able to use our pouch/tool the way it was intended to be used. Sometimes my body does crave certain foodsI went through a guacamole phase, a salsa phase, a salt phase and a vinegar phase. However, I am a major stress eater. I used food to calm myself. For me, carbs were medicationthey slowed me down and numbed me.
Anyway, to your question, if anyone has been able to eat crackers at 8 weeks. Yes, some people have. Whether you should is a different question and obviously there are differing views on the subject. Im in the not a good idea camp. I signed up for GBS knowing I was giving up my old way of eating forever. I knew giving up certain foods was part of the deal. Ive gotten everything I wanted and more out of GBSso Im not backing out of my side of the deal, now.
Worth it!!
