Closet full of tents!

After 56 pounds gone now, I'm really seeing changes in my clothing! I've been able to get by on things being a little big on me, but suddenly it seems like I'm swimming in everything.

I spent about 20 minutes today trying to find a shirt to change into after I came home realizing the shirt I was wearing was just about falling off my shoulders. I have a few things that work, but wanted something to go with the pants I was wearing. I've started a pile of things that are too ridiculously huge to even consider wearing.

This is all completely amazing to me! I've been planning on going shopping this week to get a few things (though I suppose those will be big someday too?!), and now it's not just a desire, it's a must!

Anyone else 3-4 months out who's having this "trouble?"

The way I see it, I'm just buying things now that will make very nice donations to GoodWill later this year!

LOL I wore clothes that were bigger than
two man pup tents. And now I wear shit that I cannot believe I can fit into. I've gone from a 50"+ waist to a 30-31" waist. I wear smalller clothes than anyone I know and love being skinny
and fit.

FYI I thive in and on the Goodwill, I suggest you do the same!

Yup, since December I've gone from a size 24 to an 18 and my size 18 jeans are already starting to feel baggy. :D I just went with a friend to Old Navy and was able to fit into the 2XL shirts, I'm a few more pounds away from actually looking good in them though. It feels amazing to *almost* be able to shop for cloths in normal stores, I'm both excited and nervous to get to that point, my poor pocket book!

Congrats to both of us! What a good problem to have.

It's pretty amazing isn't it? I went through my closet two weekends ago, and I have a small mountain of clothes that are too big. This morning, I pulled out a jacket that I was happy to find fit me two weeks ago. Wore it today, but it's apparent that in another few weeks it too will be too big! And my panties have become baggy! I couldn't believe that. But I look in the mirror and it looks like my panties have stretched--not that I've shrunk. I still look so fat to me! It's really weird. But exciting. If I continue to lose steadily, I may be at my goal weight by the end of June or thereabouts. I foresee an expensive summer ahead!

I'm almost 5 months out -- and I finally broke down and bought new panties, too. The size 12s were falling off! The problem is that I'm not losing weight as evenly as I'd like: my tummy is still too big for me to fit in regular size clothes although my waist and legs are shrinking -- especially my legs. I've got these bony small legs now. Well, 50 pounds to go and I hope I'll even out!

4 months out and I've gone from a size 20 to now I can fit and zip up a size 10. My pants look rediculous on me and Savers is going to be my saviour.
I'm starting to look better but my clothes make me look like a clown. When I hit goal, I'm rocking a new, hot wardrobe.

trytry...I'm noticing uneven weight loss, too! Most everything is really baggy in the butt and legs, but waist hasn't gone down as much. And I'm sure the undergarments are the next I'll need to get rid of!

Patricia--holy cow, a size 10?! I was a 20 and I'm lucky to get into 16s. I think the waist problem is part of it. But hooray for you!

farmgirl--I never think about my goal or when I may reach it. I guess it's still hard to believe I'll keep losing! But reaching goal by June sounds exciting! I hope you make it!

Banana--Old Navy? Wow, I just never thought of shopping at stores like that with no plus-size department. Guess it's time to branch out with my shopping choices! I know they have great prices.

Ladybug and Lu--I've donated things to Goodwill before, but hadn't thought about shopping there! Guess it doesn't hurt to check it out. (And Lu--30" waist? Wow, that's the same as my really skinny husband! You've done well!)

my surgeons office is having a clothing swap at the end of this month. man will I ever be so glad to start getting some stuff that fits better.
I too, have lost way more everywhere, other than my belly...not that I haven't lost there also, cause I have, but not like everywhere else...it's crazy to have lost about 12-15 inches in my waist already and think, man that's slow...hahaha..
I am taking about $1000.00 worth of clothes to the swap...I have some really nice "church clothes" that hopefully somebody will be able to use..
I noticed this week that the panty drawer is the next to be re-evaluated. I dropped into the smallest I have this morning, and thought,"dang...I was in a size 13 panties the day I checked into the hospital (September 15)..I am now officially in a size 9...a 9 isn't a 6...but it ain't a 13 either...I will most probably end up in a size 8...suits me just fine...my mother is 122 pounds soaking wet, and still wears a size 7...big fannies are a family thing...you should see my sister Achwha.. (pronounced Aqua) same way...tiny waist, big ol' sister booty...
