Hi all
hope you are all well.

just going through some of my paper work from my surgeon, in the quotes it mentions $2,000 - $5,000 for clips. did any of you state side have this as part of your prices?? did any of you have to have clips used as part of your surgery??? if you did how many and how much did it cost??

I would assume, clamps or stuff like that used during the surgery, but not really sure

No idea what clips are. Everything gets charged for in a hospital though. Even an aspirin

When I think of clips, I think pet groomers. Did you wake up with a new look? LOL
I would ask the hospital for the explanation, just to make sure there are no over charges. Good luck.

Hi again all
I have spoken to the hospital, it is just items they use during the surgery, quoted $5,000 as that is the average, any items not used they will give me a refund.

I don't have private medical insurance, I am in Australia our system is different to the USA. I am accessing my superannuation to pay for it, I think you call it your 401k plan, i am not sure, it is our retirement money. employer puts in 9.5% of our wages for our retirement, we can't access it until a certain age, but you can access it for medical reasons or compassionate or hardship reasons,

That is a little strange. Clips here in the US are actually very tiny titanium ...clips they use them as markers after like biopsys or benine tumor removals or surerys.. You may or may not even know you have them. I have them from my gallbladder , breast biopsy, and RNY revision ii know ant two surgery's I may but they are just markers for doctors.
