The shakes are definately easier to digest than the food at this point. I have found that mixing unflavored Nectar protein power with Chocolate is much better. Then I add milk and water if needed To be like chocolate milk. Thick stuff makes me gag right now.
Shakes are nasty unless you blend them w/ ice!
my absolute favorite:
cup of skim milk
scoop of vanilla protein (body fortress @ Walmart, cheap & good)
teaspoon of decaf instant coffee right out of the jar not made
ice
BLEND AWAY!
not to sweet and soooooooooo good! You will think you just came from a coffee shop!
One trick you might want to try is those little viles of liquid protein. I though they were too sweet but when they are added to a 2qt pitcher of S/F Cyrstal light, they make the drink taste pretty good.
I am 15 months out and still do my AM shake 23gms/ protein and I do a Protein bar in the afternoon. Because I am 5-6" I am supposed to get 88 grams aday. I use 4 to 6 oz of milk blend, then add 2 - 4 oz ice water to chill it down.
Try to have fun experimenting.
Cheers,
JILL
Then I will have some cottage cheese mixed with LF yogurt or a scoop of strawberry sorbet unjury powder with 8 oz Crystal Light lemonade.. SOO good!
You just have to keep shopping around until you find one that you can tolerate. Best of luck to you. Rhonda
