If you take CHEWABLE calcium citrate, what kind do you take and do they taste ok?

I think when classes start I am going to switch over as it will just be easier to toss the chews in my back pack and take them during the day vs. the (yummy) liquid I take now....

Personally I can barely stand the chewable calcium, it tastes ok but the chalky texture is unpleasant and lingering. I manage it if I disguise the taste with a drink or some food. Mine taste weakly of oranges.

In my NUT classes she had us try caramel and chocolate ones... they were sugar free and tasted yummy! However, the wafer ones were b a d! :)

Becca, I order mine from Bariatric Advantage. These are the ones our nut had us sample. There are several flavors: Chocolate, Raspberry, Lemon, Carmel. I have tried them all and they are GOOD! I use them like a once a day treat, because they taste like a piece of candy. In order to get enough per day you have to chew about 4. I take mine in the morning because you want time in between your multivitamin.

Try'm they are really good, not chalky tasting at all.

I will second the recommendation for the bariatric advantage chews. The lemon and the raspberry my favorites as they taste like starburst candies to me. I carry the 4 in my pocket throughout the day and eat them one at a time as I think of them as a "treat".

No chalky texture and no after taste that I notice either. Well worth the extra price a month!!

Becca - I don't do the chews I take Caltrate petites. They are smaller and slip right down. The chewables had too much sugar for me.

Thanks Joy! I am going to order some... I take my multi vitamin in the AM, so I take my calcium spread out later in the day so they don't 'mix' :)

I take the Bariatric Advantage ones too. Just restocked. I like all the flavors. Gives me a little treat a few times a day. The lemon taste like Starburst.

I also have the petite pills and use them sometimes as well. Variety is the spice of life!!

I love Bariatric advantage calcium chews and iron chews (choc raspberry truffle. Yum! No sugar but 2 sugar alcohols

Definitely the Bariatric Advantage! They are yummy- I like the caramel or raspberry the best :)
