I was wondering if any one else is feeling very cold after wt loss. My hands and feet seem to get very cold and by the evening I am undeer blankets. I was always one that was very over heated with having a fan on all the time now I just want to be under my down comforter.

I am only 6 weeks post-op and have only lost 35 lbs. but I am the same way. A gal in my support group told me that this happens once you start losing a bunch of weight. She has lost over 125 lbs. and is FREEZING all the time. Stay warm...

Yes my feet and hands are always cold. I think I am ok with that since I live in AZ in will be nice to have some cold parts in the summer.

I am cold all the time now too. I knew that it would happen once I loss my "insulation" but I didn't think that it would happen this fast. I have lost 42 pounds as of this morning but I still have a long way to go. There is still plenty there to keep me warm but it isn't. LOL!

I deal with the same thing. I've lost 89 pounds and I'm cold almost all the time. My husband gets a kick out of me now cuz I used to be the one who could stand in front of AC and still sweat and was forever turning down the heat in the winter, and now I'm the one adding heat to the house and am under tons of blankets all the time cuz I'm always cold. Hands and feet are the coldest, but all of me is cold and I'm going in and out of slight shivering today. I so feel for you. I guess you can view it as your body doing what it's supposed to and that's why you're cold...becoming healthy is awesome but isn't always easy! I'll take being cold any day of the week over being overheated and heavier.

Thanks for recommending this site. I can see how it will be a great help to me! Yes, I'm always freezing. I don't even sweat when I work out anymore! What a change for me. I used to sweat just sitting around the house. Now my hands, my feet and my nose are ALWAYS like an ice cube!

I am always cold, i purchased a fan for my office because i was always hot (pre-menapausal), now i need a heater, i am driving my family nuts with the heat, i think its part weight loss, part post-surgical and partly a protein issue (my non-professional medical opinion), cant wait for summer.
