Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
I think the best advise you gave to yourself was to get the carbs out of the house.

It is tough to give up things we love but sometimes we are smart enough to realize what it is that is hurting us like you said. Get them out of the house. If you know you have a control issue with them don't have them there.
I did find smoe special K baked crackers and they are a pretty good amount per serving. Maybe I should get the little snack backs and measure out servings and then that is all I can have.
After all I have beent through the last think I want to do is to fall back into old habits!
I did have a time when I got bored with my food...but I pushed through it and pretty much eat the same things most days. Food isn't entertainment for me anymore. I eat because I have to eat to be healthy. If it is the same thing every day I am actually fine with it because nothing I can chew and swallow is as important to me as being able to live a healthy life.
((hugs))
