...a good workout DVD? I can already tell I'm not exercising enough. I do walk, but I HATE walking just for the sake of walking. I do have a dog and I walk her, but she likes to stop every thirty seconds and sniff the ground or pee on something. That's not much of a walk for me!

I have a treadmill in our garage and use that when it rains, but again, I find it incredibly boring.

I like lots of variety and love to dance, so anything along that nature would be wonderful. I did Jazzercise for years but had to give it up when my knees started hurting.

Check out a company called The Firm. They have a variety of workout DVDs, and each combines cardio with strength training -- you get it all at once. I love them. :)

I love anything he does, 98% of it is just your body or using things you can find around your home. I have lost a lot of weight prior to RNY doing this work out. I will add a link (if you know anyone who bootlegs movies, have them get you a copy or do it yourself, I wont lie I didn't pay for it but I would have because it was worth it!)

Thank you, Farmgirl and SweetConfusion! I will look into those today.

I think what will also help me on my walks is to get an iPod ahd load it up with some great music, podcasts and audiobooks. That way I can exercise my brain/ears as well as the rest of me. :-)

I just bought The Firm Express and Shaun T's Rockin' Body DVD's from Amazon. I think I should have also gotten a wireless headset for my TV so I don't wake my family up; I plan to do these at 5:30 AM. Wish me luck!

I love everything Beachbody. They have this new on demand service where you can experience different workouts for a monthly fee. My fav is Turbo Jam with Chalene Johnson. It's a blend of dance and a little boxing set to great music. If you have xfinity they also have on demand workouts that are great. I like the Yoga. Hope this helps you on your search.

Diva! Good for you! How great that you are looking for more ways to improve your journey. I peruse the Thrift stores for exercise DVD's. Goodwill generally has an overload of workout DVD's....so you can pick up a bunch of them for practically nothing and change things up whenever you get bored. Keep an eye out for 5 and 10 lb. weights too. Harder to find but occasionally some will pop up in a thrift store. You can always fill gallon or half gallon jugs with water or sand in lieu of weights.

I had to buy my son some basketball warmup pants and a new pair of running shoes, so while I was at the sporting goods store today I also bought myself a new pair of cross-trainer shoes and a pair of 5-lb hand weights. My workout DVD's arrived in the mail today, so tomorrow the fun begins. I can't wait!
