I take Bariatric Advantage Calcium citrate chewables, they're the wild cherry flavor. They're ok, I'm going to try the drink next. My body always gives me grief with calcium, my least favorite vitamin.

I take Citracal Calcium Gummies - 2 per day, at least 2 hours apart. Fruit flavor, taste good.

I get the liquid calcium from costco, has all my vitamin d as well. doesn't say citrate on it but checked it out and it is citrate. Wellesse is the brand and it is cheap 8 bucks for two bottles. Way easier to take .

I get my calcium citrate tablets from the Vitamin Shoppe. They are petite, 3 a day tablets. Personally, I can't stand the chewables.

Just bought the Bariatric Advantage chewables and...yuck. I don't hate them as much as the ones I took right after surgery, but I definitely don't like the chalkiness. The flavor is okay, just balk at the texture. I have the crystals you mix in your drink, which I like, but I travel a lot and that is hard to transport/measure so I thought the chewables would do for travel days. Once they are gone I will try for the gummies. I am too cheap to waste the ones I just bought but it may take me a while to work up to the 3-per-day I ought to be taking.

My surgeon suggests Tums and Vit D, two chewable tums and a vit d tab three times daily.

I use costco's chewables. They have chocolate and caramel.

I started with the chocolate bariatric advantage chewables and just couldn't chew them up without wanting to barf after about 7 days. Then, I bought the Wellesse brand liquid form (ordered it cheap from alice.com AND they have automatic delivery which is nice if you like it). It has an orange flavor and isn't too bad, but I still avoid it and skil it many days. My doc says no gummies for at least a year because they can cause a blockage. Let me know if you find anything you really like!

I split my calcium sups this way 2 CVS Calcium Citrate w d & magnesium and 3 Bariatric Advantage Calcium Chewables( I've tried the caramel, choc, raspberry and lemon and they are doable) I take the CVS Caplets after lunch and the Bariatric Advantage at bedtime. d

I use Opurity Chewables, they taste pretty good and are easy on the pouchie..... not that expensive and i get them auto shipped with my multi chewable. Its 1 multi a day and 4 calcium so nice and easy ! they aren't that expensive and very convenient.

I take the Celebrate brand Calicum Citrate Chews. For sleeves you have to take 6 a day. I couldn't tolerate the chewables or the caltrate petites right after surgery. I might try to take the caltrate petities again now that I am almost 7 months post op.

Keep in mind that the requirements for calcium after bariatric surgery is 1500-2000 mg ABOVE what you get from the rest of your diet and not in conjunction with iron supplements. This is the requirement listed by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.

I do see many of you listing quantities that are under that amount by at least half. I take a chewable calcium supplement and need to take 6 wafers to reach the appropriate about of calcium citrate. Even bariatric calcium tablets may require more than is on the label as one serving to get the proper amount.

Tums is the wrong kind of calcium (calcium carbonate isn't absorbed as well as calcium citrate).

If you can't swallow the calcium pills, you can dissolve them in water and drink it (you don't have to drink the white gunk at the bottom of the glass).
