I am 5 weeks post RNY. Lately I have had a lot of belching and burping all day long and nausea when I try to eat. I am getting my protein from my shakes. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I had the burping at about 5 weeks, but no nausea unless I eat too fast then I get the stuck feeling with foamies and nausea. Not sure what it could be with nausea too. Maybe ask the doctor. A lot of foods gave me gas at first.

I am almost 7 weeks out and CAN"T burp!!!! Wish I could. I used to be able to rattle the windows but now I'm lucky to get out a POOF of air.

Im burping so much that my son said, MOM, where is all that coming from????? Doesnt matter what I eat or how much, I burp, burp, burp

I embarrassed my 14 year old because he had a girl over and I burped ridiculously loud! It came with no warning at all!!!
I am an AVP at work and am constantly on conference calls... How am I going to "pass" these off if they come mid-sentence? Not very lady-like! :-D

I burp like crazy all the time. It's really ridiculous. And I have no control over it at all. It just happens. I'm about 4 months out. GasX does not help either.

im 5weeks also and i burp alot to and have alot of gas.i have just started having a upset stomach recently with most everything i eat or drink lately. not really nausea but just upset stomach not bad but no its there.

I had the same problem, Im 1month out & all that occured last week. Then I got the acid taste. ugh... To find out it was a stricture and they had to go in and scope it. Im feeling much better. If you dont know Call the doc you never know what it may be..

I went to the Dr last week because I was always nausea. I burped in his office and he said to stop belching and burping because it introduced more air into the stomach casing more nausea. I focused on trying to stop and not swallow more air and sure enough a couple days later my nausea went away. Good Luck

Are you on nexium or something like that? Are you taking in air with your protein? Walking And water help. Papaya enzymes help. GNC has yummy chewables. What does your dr say?
