I completely understand. Ive been saying for awhile I've been having a disconnect between my head and what I really look like. The other day I looked down and saw nothing but gutt. Like I never lost any weight... And I to wondered if it was in my head or what. But I see new pictures and hear people's reactions who haven't seen me in a long time and am pretty sure it's all in my head :-) congratulations on the weight loss!!! Wish I could be more of a help... Still trying to figure it out myself :-)

Have you ever thought about a tummy tuck? I'm hoping to save up after I've lost all of my weight to get one. Unless your doctor says it's a medical issue, insurance will not pay. Congratulations on your incredible weight loss. Celebrate that you must feel better.

Hi feefee, yes I thought about a tummy tuck. I can only get one if I have the medical issues, doctor has seen me a couple time for irritation and a yeast infection. I know it sounds nuts but I hope I get more of them so I can get a tuck. I know they don't consider it unless the medical issues. But they don't have to look at it either. I can't get PRETTY underwear to look nice on me. my stomach hangs and looks awful. you can getthe surgery of GB because ;you are depressed, one of the reasons , so I don't get why you cant rid of this because of a reason of depression. I sure wouldn't want to find a man and get married the way I look. The way it is I have been with out a seriouse relationship for about 15 years , It would be nice to feel like I could not be lonely anymore. If I can't stand to look at myself naked, why would I want to have someone else looking at me naked. Maybe too much info. sorry...lol

I think it's just a tradeoff. Personally I'd rather live the rest of my life as a healthy person without a bf or a flat tummy than be dead.

Don't wear a baggy shirt. Number one you deserve to show off your accomplishments and number two when you wear baggy clothes you actually look bigger not smaller. Have you tried wearing Spanx? It is an undergarment that holds everything in. It will help. Also have you tried to have a tummy tuck with your insurance? Some will pay if it is due to infections underneath (yeast infections). aww I know about the death and life thing. that isn't the issue right now. I am small, not worried about dieing from that, although my weight loss team seems to be worried I lost too much. And its funny because now if I wear a bigger size, I do look smaller not larger. The clothing hangs on me. I don't know, If you have not had a relationship for many years and are lonely but your self esteem really stinks, and you don't want to look at your self so you figure who ELSE would want to I think that IS an issue. Not just the physical health, but mental health. I don't know if anyone is getting it. ???????

With a fast weight loss the head has trouble catching up to the reality of your size. This had always been an issue for me when ever I had lost weight in the past. This time I am determined to remind myself to really look at the loss as I go and give my mind a chance to really accept that I am getting thinner in all areas. It is so hard when our head plays those tricks on us. We are so used to being heavy. It is time to try to embrace your new body. Tummies will almost always stick out a bit when you look down. Try looking from a different angle or make a check on the tummy by the new size clothing you are wearing. Do not let your mind play those old tricks on you. If you need to, go talk to a therapist to help you through this point. I am sure you look great. In time, the skin may tighten. My dr. says that it usually does with in about two years after the loss. Give yourself the time to adjust. You have done wonderful!!! Congrats.

Take pictures of yourself and make a college (sorry-probly spelled wrong) from beginning to end of journey. This will help you see the changes you have made. This really helped me see it.
I do understand what you mean about the hanging skin. I have this layer of fat still under the skin too that is just not going to go away with out lipo and a tummy tuck. My underarms make flapping fart sounds sometimes and can be quite embarrasing. but hey they are my battle scars I suppose. It will be awhile before I can afford the surgery I want so I will learn to live with it. I just buy clothes that compliment me and I don't really give a hoot about what others say. They have not walked in my shoes and until they do they can just stuff it!.
