Hi!
My name is Gina. I had bariatric surgery on 10-27-10. I was at 291 on the day of surgery, and got down to 172 a year later. Since that time, I was stable. My body just stopped losing weight. Then, I moved from Southern CA to a city in Central CA a year ago, as my facility was closing. So, this new city is so very small. No support groups available. I've been trying to find some support. With the stress of all the changes, I have gained 20 pounds in the past year. I have gone back to a lot of my old ways. I miss my 24 hour fitness, my friends, my old job, my house, my family......etc. The new job is also very stressful, as I work with Sexually Violent Predators. Just looking for some support, and some friends. I plan on getting back on track and getting this weight off!!!! Thanks for listening.....G.

I can honestly tell you that you have found a wonderful group of people here to support you in any way they can... It has certainly been and continues to be a haven for me... welcome aboard :)
I do not have a support group since my surgery two and half years ago, and have ended up underweight. My group is to far a drive for me to get to with work and all. I know it should be a priority, but, that is just how it has worked out. I attend O.A. groups that are close by and find them helpful and supportive. In the meantime, I drop in hear from time to time, have been for two years now. Lot of good people and information from those who have lived it. Good luck.
