Well, if your goal is to increase protein and decrease sugars, I would say meat first, followed by veggie. My doc's program doesn't even allow fruit until almost to goal due to the high sugar content and the riks of triggering sugar cravings. So...I would at best resereve the fruit for a treat.

neither of my programs allow baby food but if you find a good one rigt now im on a eat what will stay down and take a nautia pill program for 2 yrs now lol

so I didn't even do the baby food thing have you tasted how gross that stuff really is. I bought myself a baby bullet however. This way I can blend/puree my own foods here at home and find things that are better with my tummy.

You will, most likely, be seeing a dietician who should give you suggestions on what to eat post op.

I am absolutely ADDICTED to Shelly's blog. I've been doing nothing but hanging out in it for days and I still haven't seen all of the recipes! im on puree right now. I didnt even buy baby food. I take 2 tablespoons of my families meat and throw it in the blender and 1 tablespoon of veggies.get some low fat low soduim gravy and just add a teaspoon at a time. Save your money for new clothes/

I was allowed to eat baby food in the pureed stage, too. Unfortunately it is trial and error. You are going to have to try a meat to see if you tolerate it well. I was allowed pureed fruits but nothing with seeds. In baby food you can get strained banans and also some applesauce. Just don't overdo on the fruit because of calories. Make sure you get your proteins first the vegs then carbs. Good luck. debby

I didn't have to do a puree food stage went from clear liquids to liquids with protein shakes to soft proteins and then onto reg foods. I don't think I would even want to eat baby food to be honest with you. There are other foods you can eat during the puree of soft stage. Your nut. should give you a guide of foods you can eat post op with when you can eat them like after 2 weeks or 4 weeks stuff like that. My program did.
