Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
I would whir up a batch of fresh fruit, or chicken, or whatever, freeze it in ice cube trays, and put them into baggies in the freezer. I'd grab cubes, throw them in a small Tupperware carrier and by lunch time they'd be thawed and ready to eat. I did some of that after my sleeve too.
I am 4 yrs post op and 2 yrs post revision but for both doctors they did not allow baby food .......I don't remember if it was the sugar like MN said or .....I'm sorry but Id suggest for that you check with the nut at your doctors office they may have specifics for your eating plan.......mine gave us a sheet for the weeks that you are healing and tapering back up to normal for bariatric patients eating...........actually both my programs had things that they would be particular about the one im with now does not allow shakes after week 3 the first one allows them forever if you wish. go figure.
