Has anyone tried these post-surgery? Since they are so high-fibre, low carb and have 12 grams of protein, I've been thinking about making one and toasting it. (And after reading the post about bacon, I have this desire for a BLT!)

Hmm.. too many calories vs. not enough protein for me. I try to make sure I get my bang for my buck when it comes to calories - if I'm gonna eat a lot of calories, it better have beaucoup protein. :)

Like Krista, I try to get more protein per calorie. My general rule of thumb is 10 gr. of protein per 100 calories. These would be a total indulgence for me. But, perhaps adding some unflavored protein powder to increase the protein......Hmmmmmm.
