Well, my surgery is set for Weds., October 7. I have to do two weeks of opti fast before hand. That means I have two weeks left to enjoy food as I know it know! LOL! Any advice?

How long did it take to get your date. What I have seen so far is like 6 mongths. I just started the process and alread in shambles. If anyone hears I'm having the surgery they start to freak out. I wish I had the surgery yesterday. I can't wait. I keep thinking next year I won't be able to wear the clothes in my closet. Don't know where I'll get the money to buy more, but maybe things will be better next year. Good luck on you surgery.

Hang in there, Lana. Things will look up, soon. I started the whole process in March of this year. So for me, it has been a 7 month ordeal. Once I got approved, I was given a surgery date very quickly.

I have decided that this whole, long drawn out process is important. It gives us time to make sure we have made the right decision, and gives our family time to adjust to the idea.

Hopefully, your family and friends will see that you are making a life saving choice, and they will support you. I will pray for you and for them.
